Porcelain veneers are a tried and true way to quickly transform the most embarrassing aspects of your smile into features that you love. Since veneers are highly customizable, Dr. Tran or Dr. Grimmer can help you achieve just the look you’re hoping for -- because we know not everyone wants a super-white celebrity smile.
Porcelain veneers can mask multiple flaws, including:
Patients who look forward to caring for their teeth and gums are perfect for veneers. Your dentist will make sure that you have good oral health before placing them and help you maintain excellent dental health while you wear them.
Typically, to get porcelain veneers, you’ll visit our office two separate times. We use the first appointment to get to know your needs and smile goals. Feel free to bring photos of what you would like your smile to look like so that your dentist can understand your vision. Before you leave, Dr. Tran or Dr. Grimmer will prepare your teeth by buffing a bit of the enamel to make room for the new veneers. To protect your teeth, a temporary pair of veneers will be placed until your custom veneers have been crafted to you.
Next, Dr. Tran or Dr. Grimmer will send your treatment plan and important information off a nearby lab, where your veneers will be expertly crafted. Once your personalized veneers are ready, you’ll come back to our office for your second and final appointment. And after this final visit, you can expect to leave our office with the smile you’ve always wanted!
Once you have a great smile that you can be proud of, you’ll want to take better care of it than ever before. You’ll be happy to know caring for your new teeth doesn’t take much more effort than caring for your natural teeth. You’ll need to continue to brush for two minutes, twice a day, and flossing once a day. Plus, you’ll still need to visit your dentist for semiannual checkups and professional cleanings.
If you have other dental concerns, you’ll need to visit your dentist for extra care tips. For instance, if you grind your teeth, you can protect your veneers with a customized mouthguard.
